Though this flower may not be native to our island. The flower itself holds great significance to me. Growing up my Papa had a number of these flowers growing in his garden.
He has this one tree of Puti Tai Nobio that has been around longer than I've been alive. It's been knocked down and uprooted by many typhoons. Despite this fact, it always bounced back, bearing more flowers than the last time.
To this day, that tree still remains, bearing its beautiful hues.
