Founded in 2018 by a group of Guam theatre artists who wanted to create more opportunities for local creatives, Breaking Wave Theatre Company was born from a simple idea: there should be a place for artists to create, grow, and tell stories rooted in our community. 

Today, Breaking Wave is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to nurturing artists and audiences through theatre, education, original works, workshops, and accessible arts programming. From uplifting local voices to creating spaces for young people and underserved communities, BWTC strives to make theatre by the community and for the community.
